Post-graduate FI Study-Group
In this series of workshops we will explore Functional Integration strategies and structures that are worth having in your repertoire. The focus will be specifically on the functional patterns they relate to and you will find ways to consolidate your knowledge and develop confidence around giving successful FIs.
A coherent FI structure, precision and clarity of intention grow from your functional understanding of the lesson. This understanding is deepened by your own experience of specific ATMs and related background knowledge.
We will refine known techniques, explore new variations and alternative strategies, and identify where each FI might be useful. As part of an overall strategy, you will learn to actively engage your FI students in a learning process. In this way, you will be able to achieve sustainable, effective FI results through intention rather than chance.
The workshops will include:
- Theoretical & practical background to a particular FI structure
- ATMs illustrating the functional pattern of action
- FI demonstrations by Kathryn and video examples of Moshe teaching similar lessons
- Clarifications, Q & A, reflection, group discussion
- Guided FIs & FI practice with clients
- Strategies for learning vs. change
This is a great opportunity to deepen your understanding of the art of Functional Integration.
Diaphragm, Breathing Space and Stability (webinar)
Structural and functional interactions between diaphragm, iliopsoas, quadratus lumborum as well as transversus abdominis make for a great potential in the centre of the body: a potential for disturbances… and a potential for relief. We can address essential connections between breathing, alignment, internal stability and support both directly and indirectly. This core of connections is like a switchboard for change, where impulses inevitably distribute and influence each other.
This FI in side-lying is a wonderful ”standard work” to have in your repertoire.
This webinar will take place live via the online conference software "Zoom". It includes lessons in Awareness through Movement (so-called "ATMs"). Please make sure that you have a mat or blanket available for the exercises when the class begins. A flat pillow (for example a towel) is also advisable, just make sure it is not too thick or too soft.
You can participate in the webinar using a computer, tablet or smartphone, your camera and microphone do not need to be turned on to participate.
